Dashboard of RevControl
The RevControl dashboard can be customized according to different orders. To begin, click on the small installation button located in the middle of your screen. Next, you can arrange the various widgets in the desired order. Additionally, you have the option to hide a widget, making it invisible on your dashboard.
Business on the Books
The initial graph displayed on the dashboard is the Business on the Books. It provides insights into the upcoming week's reservations that the hotel has recorded. Comparisons can be made between the current Business on the Books and the figures from last week (green), last month (yellow), and last year (red) at the same point in time. In the top right corner, you can toggle historic data and different segments on or off. Additionally, you can switch the compared historic data from Business on the Books to actual figures.
If you click on a specific day within the graph, more detailed information, including segment breakdowns, will become visible. For more extensive information, simply click on the title, and the Business on the Books report will be presented.
Alerts
Adjacent to the Business on the Books graph, you will find the alerts displayed. These alerts are designed to notify you of significant changes in demand, including pickup alerts, above-average room nights sold, and near-full occupancy. If an alert prompts you to adjust the rate, you can click on the "Change Rates" button. This will allow you to adopt RevControl's rate recommendation (highlighted in blue), incorporate a minimum length of stay, lock the day, and access additional information about the specific day through the information button. Furthermore, the competitor rates for that particular day are visible.
Next to the alerts, there is a compact rate calendar displayed. This calendar provides an overview of rates and minimum length of stay restrictions for the upcoming month. By clicking on a specific day, you can view the rate, various key performance indicators, and optionally added events. Furthermore, the rates can be easily modified by selecting a particular day.
Pickup
The following graph on the dashboard illustrates the pickup for the upcoming week. The pickup of the hotel is compared to the pickup of the previous week, month, and year, measured from the same point in time. This analysis focuses on reservations and cancellations made within a specific period. In the top-left corner, you have the option to switch between pickup in numbers and pickup in revenue. In the top-right corner, you can enable or disable historic data and different segments. Additionally, you can adjust the measurement period from pickup since yesterday to pickup in the last thirty days, as well as other intervals in between.

Competitors
The subsequent graph on the dashboard displays the rates of your competitors for the upcoming week. Firstly, optional events are presented, followed by the weather forecast, market demand, and finally, the Business on the Books occupancy of your hotel. Please note that we receive the market demand data from our rate shopping partner and it is not calculated by RevControl. These figures should be regarded as a general guideline.
On the left side, you can see your competitor set along with the lowest bookable rates for the upcoming week. The colors indicate whether the competitors' rates are cheaper or more expensive compared to your hotel. Green prices indicate that the competitors are charging higher rates, while red prices signify that the competitors are offering lower rates. The flame symbol preceding the prices indicates that the rate is non-refundable, the small number in blue represents a minimum length of stay, and the croissant symbol indicates that breakfast is included in the price. The triangles accompanying the prices indicate whether the competitors have increased or decreased their rates since the last time we retrieved the rate data.
Hovering over the rates provides additional information about specific rates, such as the room type and the percentage by which the price has changed since the last retrieval of rate data. Moreover, the title of the graph is clickable. Clicking on the title "Competitors" will open the daily index report. This report presents the competitor rates for the upcoming year.
Budget
The final graph on the dashboard is the budget. The budget is an additional feature provided by RevControl. It's important to note that the budget is not taken into account when generating rate recommendations. Its purpose is solely to track progress towards achieving targets, and that's why the budget is visible on the information pages of the rate calendar. RevControl automatically compares the results from the previous year with the current Business on the Books. If desired, you can enter different targets in the budget report. Clicking on the title will display the budget report.
